Documentation Requirements for Appeals to the SBOE

While creating an appeal online, please upload all requested documentation before selecting “Save for Later” or “Submit” as you will not be able to upload documentation after making your selection.

Below is a list of required documentation by petition/DOR form number which must be uploaded when you create your appeal to the SBOE or is subject to rejection.

 

Petition for Review of Valuation (DOR Form 82130)
Personal Property Review of Valuation (DOR Form 82530)
Petition for Review of Taxpayer Notice of Claim (DOR Form 82179C-1)
Petition for Review of Taxpayer Notice of Claim - Personal Property (DOR Form 82179CP-1)

 

Petition for Review of Notice of Change (DOR Form 82130NC)

 

Petition for Review of Proposed Correction - Real Property (DOR Form 82179C)

In order to perfect/complete your appeal, please upload the following documents

Required

  1. Original petition or claim filed with the tax officer/county assessor
  2. Tax officer/county assessor decision

If applicable;

  1. Evidence  (optional while creating an appeal unless the petition basis references an attachment which is required with the petition)
  2. Agency Authorization form (DOR 82130AA) – [Taxpayer agents only]
  3. Appropriate Income and Expense Statement from the DOR 82300 series (Income Approach appeals)
  4. Agricultural Land Use Application (DOR 82916) (for agricultural appeals)

 

Petition for Review of Notice of Change (DOR Form 82130NC)

In order to perfect/complete your appeal, please upload the following documents

Required

  1. Tax officer/county assessor decision
  2. Original tax officer/county assessor notice (DOR form 82179A or 82179P)

If applicable;

  1. Evidence  (optional while creating an appeal unless the petition basis references an attachment which is required with the petition)
