Michael Galloway, an Arizona attorney, has practiced for 35 years in the field of state and local taxation, which encompasses sales tax, use tax, municipal sales tax, Corporate, and individual income tax, unemployment tax and unclaimed property.  He has advised and represented clients challenging Arizona tax assessments before administrative boards and agencies and all levels of the Arizona court system.  He has represented several Arizona cities and counties in sales tax appeals.

Mr. Galloway worked in the property tax field, representing clients who appealed their property valuation and classification for real and personal property and properties valued by the Department of Revenue. He represented clients before the State Board of Equalization prior to being appointed to the Board in 2011 by Governor Jan Brewer.

Mr. Galloway is past chair of the State Bar of Arizona Tax Section. He was a member and subcommittee chair of the ABA Tax Section, State and Local Tax Committee, where he was the Arizona and Colorado editor of the ABA Guide to Multijurisdictional Admission to Practice Requirements for State and Local Tax Lawyers.  He was a director of the Arizona Tax Research Association and selected as Member of the Year in 2006.  Mr. Galloway was a State Bar of Arizona Certified Tax Specialist for 30 years and a member of the Arizona Board of Legal Specialization, Tax Law Advisory Commission, which regulates the admission of Tax Specialists.
